Since our bodies cannot manufacture vitamin C, we must obtain it from our diets or through supplementation. This fully buffered and fully reduced ascorbate form ensures rapid and effective uptake by the body and eliminates the acid buildup that can sometimes occur when ascorbic acid forms of vitamin C are taken. Each level 1/2 teaspoon gives you just over 1,500 mg of C.
